Cookie Policy
Last updated 25 September 2026
This policy explains the cookies and local storage the SheetSurfer app uses, and how you can control them.
1. What we use
The app uses the smallest amount of browser storage it can get away with. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics cookies.
| Name | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| session token | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and identifies your account to the server. |
| sign-in state | Strictly necessary | Temporary value used while you connect a marketplace account, so the callback can be matched to your sign-in and forged callbacks rejected. |
| theme | Preference | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark look. |
The theme preference is kept in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie. It never leaves your device.
2. Strictly necessary means no consent needed
The sign-in cookies are required for the app to work at all and to keep your account secure, so they are set without asking. If you block them, you will not be able to sign in.
3. Third parties
When you sign in with Google, or connect Google Sheets, eBay, Whatnot or Cardmarket, those providers may set their own cookies on their own pages during the sign-in flow. Those cookies are governed by that provider's cookie policy, not ours. The app itself does not set third-party cookies.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can delete local storage for this site the same way. Blocking the sign-in cookies will sign you out and prevent you from using the app. Clearing them does not delete your spreadsheet, your items or your settings.
