Terms of Service

Last updated 25 September 2026

These terms set out the agreement between you and SheetSurfer for use of the app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1. The service

SheetSurfer, operated by Surfware Ltd, is a bridge between your spreadsheet and the marketplaces you sell on. Your Google Sheet remains the master record: we read it, keep your inventory and listings in step with it, and write changes back. The app does not hold stock, take payment, or act as a marketplace.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract.
  • You must give accurate account details and keep your password secure.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

3. Connected accounts and third-party services

  • Connecting Google, eBay, Whatnot, Cardmarket or any card data service means those providers' own terms and policies apply to your use of them, and you must comply with them. You need your own seller account in good standing with each marketplace.
  • You authorise us to act on your behalf on the accounts you connect, strictly for the actions you ask for — publishing, updating, ending and reading listings and orders.
  • You are responsible for any API credentials you supply for those services, and for keeping them valid.
  • If a provider changes, restricts or withdraws its API, the related part of the app may stop working. We will tell you where we can, but we cannot guarantee any third-party service.

4. Your content and data

Your spreadsheet, your inventory and your marketplace data remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to read, copy, store and transmit that data solely to run the service for you. You must have the right to the data you connect — including any images you upload — and it must not be unlawful, misleading or infringing.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the app to break the law or any marketplace's rules;
  • list counterfeit, stolen, prohibited or misdescribed items;
  • attempt to access another user's account, data or credentials;
  • probe, overload, scrape or interfere with the app or its infrastructure;
  • resell or sublicense the app without our written permission.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

6. Sync accuracy and your responsibility

The app automates a great deal, but you remain the seller. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, your stock levels, your prices, your postage settings and your compliance with each marketplace's rules and with consumer law. Sync runs on a schedule and can be delayed or fail because of a third-party outage, an API limit or a connection problem. Always check a listing before you rely on it.

7. Fees

Any fee for the app is shown in the app before you are charged. Marketplace fees, and any other charges from providers you connect, are between you and that provider.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app available but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features, and we may need to take the app down for maintenance. Where a change materially reduces what you get, we will give reasonable notice.

9. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law we exclude all implied warranties, including any warranty that the app will be error-free or that sync will always be complete or accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost or corrupted data, marketplace account action, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and £100.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account — see Data Deletion. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the app, in which case we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page will change, and we will tell you in the app about any material change before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
